Zama Product Releases - January 2024

This month, our team at Zama released a new version of TFHE-rs (v0.5), alongside new versions of Concrete (v2.5), Concrete ML (v1.4) and the fhEVM (v0.3). With these releases, Zama continues to build its suite of products to make homomorphic encryption accessible, easy, and fast.

TFHE-rs v0.5

This new version of TFHE-rs introduces two key enhancements: GPU acceleration for improved performance and overflow detection for increased reliability in projects. Additionally, this version marks the start of ongoing backward compatibility in TFHE-rs, aimed at providing a more seamless and consistent experience for developers.

Concrete v2.5

This new version of Concrete introduces support for multi-output functions and iterative use in loops, alongside new operators for quicker bit-operation management. Additionally, it marks the completion of TFHE-rs integration into the compiler.

Concrete ML v1.4

This new version of Concrete ML introduces a highly anticipated feature by our community: FHE training. It also improves the speed for tree-based models like XGBoost, random forests, and decision trees.

fhEVM v0.3

This new version of Zama's fhEVM introduces a new technical stack and the first release of fhevm-go. Performance improvements are expected with the updated TFHE-rs version. Additionally, there's an early version of a centralized Key Management System (KMS) now available, enabling validators to decrypt without needing local decryption keys.
